Le foto di Paradiso limitrofo sono opera di Paul Hoffman, noto fotografo e protagonista della scena artistica di San Francisco, che ha dimorato per lunghi periodi in Chianti, testimoniandone l’ultima metamorfosi che lo ha portato ad una notorietà mondiale. I testi sono di Alessandro Falassi, antropologo conosciuto per i suoi studi sui fenomeni festivi e le ritualità contemporanee anch’egli legato al Chianti per tradizione familiare e passione di studio.
L’originalità del libro sta nello stretto dialogo tra testi e immagini, concepiti dagli autori come linguaggi complementari in un progetto di riflessione comune sull’identità più profonda di una terra, della sua gente e del suo vino.

The pictures of A Limitrophe Paradise are by Paul Hoffman, a wellknown photographer and a protagonist of the artistic scene of San Francisco, who has lived for long periods in Chianti and has witnessed its last metamorphosis which has brought it to world-wide fame.
The texts are by Alessandro Falassi, an anthropologist well known for his books on festivals, folklore and contemporary rituals. He is also bound to the Chianti by family traditions and scholarly interests. The originality of the book is in the strict interaction
between text and images, both conceived by the authors as complementary languages in a project of joined reflection on the deepest identity of a land, of its people and its wine.
