Descrizione
The second in a series of elegant notebooks – inspired by the style of the iconic magazine “FMR” founded by Franco Maria Ricci – about the beauties of Siena and its surroundings. Images of the highest value that experts in the field will enrich with in-depth texts characterized by a strongly informative approach. In this second notebook, art historian and tour guide Barbara Latini accompanies the reader/visitor into the heart of the Sala dei Nove, the core of the Palazzo Pubblico, where Ambrogio Lorenzetti created the Allegories of Good and Bad Government and the Effects of Good Government in the city and countryside. These are among the most significant examples of secular painting in Italian Trecento art, remarkable representations of what Good Governance or Bad Governance can achieve.
